General description
Integrin alpha-11 (ITGA11) belongs to a family of cell adhesion molecules, which consist of noncovalent associated alpha-beta heterodimers, and is shown to be overexpressed in the stroma of human non-small-cell lung carcinomas (hNSCLCs). Upon dimerization, this protein is thought to enhance tumorgenicity of hNSCLCs by interacting with matrix collagen and stromal fibroblasts. Progesterone is shown to increase the expression of ITGA11 through mid-gestation and decrease thereafter in Sprague-Dawley rats. It is further indicated that MAPK signaling is associated with the regulation of these integrins.
Immunogen
Linear peptide corresponding to human Integrin alpha-11.

Quality
Evaluated by Western Blot in HeLa cell lysate.
Western Blot Analysis: 1 µg/mL of this antibody detected Integrin alpha-11 in 10 µg of non-boiled & non-B-ME HeLa cell lysate.
Storage and Stability
Stable for 1 year at 2-8°C from date of receipt.
Target description
~135 kDa observed.
The high molecular weight band seen in a HeLa (non boiled) cell lysate is the integrin complex. The band at ~75-80 kDa is thought to be a denatured form of integrin.
